Course Outline
Poor fertility literacy is a known risk factor for infertility and unplanned pregnancy. In Australia, 1 in 6 couples have trouble conceiving and 1 in 2 pregnancies are unplanned. In this comprehensive, evidence-based introductory course, you will learn how to structure fertility awareness consultations to help couples achieve and avoid pregnancy throughout reproductive life through enhanced fertility knowledge. Part 1 comprises the course content outlined below, delivered across 3 days of lectures and activities. Part 2 is a take-home assignment based on the course content in Part 1. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon achievement of Parts 1 and 2 allowing registered health practitioners to advertise themselves as a Trained Teacher in Natural Fertility Education.Course Content

Course Outline
Unhealthy lifestyle factors are known to increase the risk of infertility in both men and women. In Australia, 1 in 3 men and women of reproductive age have one or more lifestyle factors (such as smoking, being overweight or underweight) which negatively impact upon their fertility and increase their risk of chronic disease. In this 3-day workshop, participants will learn how to structure consultations for sustainable behaviour change in order to optimally assist natural conception, improve assisted fertility treatment outcomes, and promote long-term health in parents and children. A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded upon successful completion of this workshop.Course Content
